Dr. Erica Stewart

PsyD, Licensed Clinical Psychologist

My approach is grounded in evidence-based practice, but the work itself is collaborative — rebuilding resilience, examining patterns that no longer serve you, and creating room to feel supported without having to explain the basics of your world first. Part of what shapes this focus is my own background working with 9/11 first responders early in my career, alongside veterans and professionals in demanding fields — work that showed me how differently burnout and trauma show up in people whose jobs require them to hold it together for others.

I draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and solution-focused strategies — the specific tools that address hypervigilance that doesn't turn off, compassion fatigue that gets mistaken for weakness, and the difficulty letting anyone in when your job has trained you to hold it together. Above all, I see therapy as a partnership: I offer insight and practical tools that work with your world, not against it, while you stay in control of the pace and the goals.

I'm licensed to practice across the majority of the United States through PSYPACT.

I also work with a smaller number of clients outside this focus — including individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, lifestyle changes, and reproductive mental health, as well as members of Black and faith communities exploring the cultural and spiritual dimensions of their care. If that's you, I'd still love to hear from you.
